Centro Empresarial
do Aço
This building was originally conceived as a business center for companies related to steel industries. It was clear from the outset that the structure of the building should be in steel, and that the design should emphasize this point. Two cylindrical (1-meter diameter) columns which stand at each of building’s corners support a one-story verandel beam at roof level. On each façade, two columns hold a 40-meter span. This unusual solution duly repeated provides highly flexible typical floors and an esthetic charecter to the building.
